Owlstone Medical ((url removed)) is on a mission to save 100,000 lives and $1.5 billion in healthcare costs through the development and application of Breath Biopsy®. This involves collecting volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and respiratory droplets from breath, which can provide information about metabolic activity and markers related to health and disease.
We have an internship opportunity from July 2024 through to September 2024, working within our Sales and Marketing Group. Successful applicants will work closely with a line manager to plan and coordinate their daily activities, whilst immersing themselves in the culture and technical projects at Owlstone.

Internship Responsibilities:

  • Assist with activities across the marketing department, including the production of marketing collateral, drafting and scheduling social media and the organization of conferences and events
  • Generation of lists of prospects, in various areas of expertise and markets; with a view to generate new contacts within relevant industries and research areas that can then be approached via marketing / sales
  • Assist in tracking the performance of marketing activities, generating reports of relevant metrics and coming up with ideas and suggestions for further activity
  • Management of data in the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)

Working Arrangement: At Owlstone Medical we have a diverse, friendly and supportive team. We find that Interns get the most out of their time with us whilst being present in the Cambridge Headquarters. Therefore, please ensure that you will be available to be on-site in the office Monday to Friday throughout the internship.

Essential:

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong motivation and drive to work for Owlstone Medical, and be capable of working with a moderate level of supervision.
  • The ability to understand new concepts quickly, have a practical, logical approach to problem solving and to adapt to changing situations and new information.

Education & Training:

  • Summer interns will typically be finishing their penultimate year of their degree.
  • We require you to be studying a Life Science degree to be successful in this role.
