Account Managers provide liaison between ITG and the client, capturing requirements, managing budgets and facilitating delivery of enterprise level projects. It is the role of the digital account manager to understand the client’s business and the challenges they face in order to represent them within the agency. They are accountable for management and technical delivery of multiple cross-channel strategic projects. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders on accounts, and ensuring the requirements, objectives and expectations of clients are met at all times. Reporting to the Business Unit Director, this is a key role in our digital account handling team.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide management and leadership to multiple client contacts and projects
  • Taking and understanding initial client requirements which can then be fed into the delivery teams for estimation, working with technical leads/specialists where required
  • To work closely with key client stakeholders to ensure projects are kept on schedule and within budget, and expectations are met
  • Be aligned at all times with the internal delivery teams who are working on the projects they are accountable for. All digital AMs need to demonstrate a competent understanding of the functionality that is being delivered
  • Work with the technical teams to provide the client with advice on any technical or third party integrations required
  • Understand and help with the removal of any project blockers that require liaison with other client departments or third parties
  • Escalates any known project issues to the Business Unit Director
  • Reports as required on all projects they are responsible for, supporting written documents, client presentations and regular status reports
  • Creates statements of work based on estimations provided by the development team and drives these through the approval process with the client
  • Support maximising new opportunities; identify new business opportunities both retained and non-retained
  • To help drive client strategy for your client and advise them on how to achieve their business objectives by utilising the latest technologies

Requirements

  • Previous digital experience of working as an account manager within a marketing agency / marketing department client side / IT or Software provider
  • Previous experience of managing web projects preferably with experience of an Agile environment and methodology
  • Excellent client facing, presentation and communication skills
  • Good written, verbal and numerical skills
  • Bright, motivated and driven, with the motivation to lead by example
  • Positive thinker, with a can-do, will-do attitude
  • Enjoy a fast-paced digital agency environment
  • A team player of the highest order who is self-starter and able to make their own decisions
  • To maximise revenue and account profitability
  • Knowledge and experience of compiling and producing reports, project plans, objectives, KPIs for your clients and senior members of staff
  • Able to brief in work to the delivery and development teams
  • Ability to speak with confidence on digital technologies and digital marketing techniques
