The Opportunity

As a Senior Planner within our dynamic and forward-thinking team, you will spearhead projects from conception to completion. You are the puzzle-solver who maps out the journey, ensuring resources, timelines, and processes are aligned seamlessly to manifest the architectural visions into tangible landmarks.

Job Description

- Develop, manage, and continually improve the construction program, adapting to project needs and external factors.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine project scopes and objectives.
- Utilize industry-leading software and methodologies to create detailed plans, schedules, and progress reports.
- Predict project bottlenecks, propose mitigation strategies, and adjust schedules in real-time to avoid delays.
- Assist in the tender process, providing expert insights, and strategic planning prowess to win bids and propel the business forward.
- Foster a data-driven approach, using KPIs and analytics to continually gauge project efficiency and team performance.
- Mentor junior planners and cultivate a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
- Act as the lynchpin for communication between various departments, ensuring all team members understand their roles within the timeline.

Required experience

- A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is highly desired, with a professional qualification in project planning and scheduling being a huge plus.
- Extensive experience in construction project planning, preferably within a contracting environment.
- Adept at using project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.) with a knack for learning new technologies swiftly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse professionals and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mentality, with a proactive approach to identify potential hurdles and implement effective solutions.
- A flexible and adaptable mindset, open to travel and embracing opportunities at various job sites.
