IECEx Inspector - Aberdeen

£excellent hourly rate (on application & experience dependent) + outside IR35 + ongoing contract work

A highly successful global organisation is looking to engage with an IECEx Inspector in the Aberdeen area.

IECEx Inspector remit includes:

  • Undertake Temporary Equipment Inspections for mechanical and electrical equipment including Electrically driven HPUs, hydraulically powered Winches and Running Line Monitors
  • Inspect for mechanical and structural condition including ensuring Lifting points and rigging are certified, Inspection data plate is present for lifting frame and Hoses have certs and tags
  • Inspect for Hazardous Area Certification (IECEX rating) which applies to the HPUs and Running Line Monitors
  • Review IECEx cert/information and confirm equipment meets spec /  design requirements and is suitable to go off-shore.

IECEx Inspector profile:

  • Certified IECEx Inspector required
  • NVQ 3 / HNC / HND / Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Min 10 years’ experience as Electrical / Mechanical Engineer
  • Min 5yrs experience in hazardous atmosphere inspections
  • Excellent knowledge / experience working to IEC standards 
  • C&G 2391 inspection and testing
  • C&G 18th edition wiring accreditation
  • Excellent report, presentation & communication skills, both verbal and written
