Principal Software Engineer - Worcestershire
Platform Recruitment has partnered with a specialist manufacturer of safety equipment. They are looking to take on a principal software engineer with strong leadership skills. The principal software engineer will play a vital role in driving innovation and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of commercial product development and a bachelor’s in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from a UK University (Master’s or PhD preferred).
Responsibilities:
+ Drive the implementation, testing, and deployment of software solutions.
+ Lead the development of complex software systems.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, physicists,
data scientists, and product managers, to define software requirements.
+ Conduct code reviews
Key skills:
+ Proficiency in Python, Java, C++
+ Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
+ In-depth knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and development
methodologies.
+ Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux development.
+ Strong leadership and team management skills.
The salary will be negotiable depending on previous experience with great company benefits.
