Appointment of Commissioners/ Board Members to Design Commission for Wales - 1 x (Welsh Essential) 3 x (Welsh Desirable) Closing date: 18/11/:00 The Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning is seeking up to four new Commissioners to join the Board of the Design Commission for Wales (DCFW Ltd). Can you help to make Wales a better place? We d love to hear from you if you share our passion for good design that makes everything better and you want to join us in championing high standards of design and architecture. DCFW was set up in 2002 by the Welsh Government as a public body working throughout Wales to promote good design for our places, buildings and public spaces and help make it a better place. We are looking for up to four new Commissioners to join the DCFW Board in 2025. We re confident that there are some hugely talented and inspirational built environment enthusiasts and professionals out there, with the skills and experience to add a new dimension to DCFW. You will be expected to act as an ambassador for DCFW and its work so as to enhance the organisation s profile and purpose. You should have an appreciation of and a strong interest in good design place-making and architecture as well as transferable skills relevant to corporate governance, finance, and communications. We re interested to hear from you whatever your background and whether your interests in design, place-making and architecture comes from experience in your working life, your own business, community or as a volunteer. Board meetings are likely to be held mainly in Cardiff, but also at locations across Wales and online via video conference.
