The company is 25 years old and employs over 200 talented automation, electrical and IT engineers across 5 offices in Ireland and the UK.
We are currently recruiting experienced Automation Engineers to oversee and lead technical activities on automation projects, predominantly in the Life Science and Food & Beverage sectors.
We are seeking candidates with 3 or more years' experience in validated automation systems, PLC programming, HMI/SCADA or Manufacturing Execution Systems. A background in GAMP 5 and experience with Siemens, Rockwell and AVEVA (Wonderware), products would be a distinct advantage!
- Assuming technical lead role on automation projects, including leading design, test, and integration activities.
- Working with a team of automation engineers delivering projects to customer sites.
- Developing engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans for cGMP process equipment and following GAMP 5 guidelines.
- Providing design and approval for hardware, software, and controls for automated systems.
- Working closely with customers to identify areas for improvement through the use of automation and data analytics technology.
- Providing technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation and Facilities departments.
- Co-ordinating and supporting project commissioning activities.
- Mentoring and training of junior engineers.
- Researching new technologies and trends in Industrial Automation and liaising with senior management on automation business strategy.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience
- Experienced automation engineer with 3 or more years' experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Computer Science / Information Systems or related field.
- PLC Programming Experience: Allen-Bradley PLCs / Siemens TIA Portal.
- HMI / SCADA Experience: Siemens / Rockwell / AVEVA / Schneider.
- Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
- Experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
- Experience working with validated Automation systems in the Pharmaceutical or Food Beverage manufacturing environment.
