Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time

Hours: 40 hours per week, (Including Alternate Weekends),

Rate of Pay: up to £15 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Location: Eden Mansions Nursing Home, Station Road, Styal, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 4HD.

Job Role:

      To prepare and deliver high-quality meals within the Home, liaising with the home manager and registered nurses ensuring that any special dietary requirements are catered for.

      Maintaining high standards of hygiene in the kitchen in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.

      Manage, train and lead by example to inspire the rest of the kitchen staff.

      A confident leader capable of managing a busy kitchen but also a team player working with the well-being coordinators organising any special events.


Job Description:

      Ordering and Monitoring supplies to ensure availability and minimize wastage.

      Allocating and coordinating the work of Kitchen Assistants.

      Liaising with other departments within the home, to ensure efficient and effective services.

      Prepare all meals to an excellent standard and quality.

      A complete understanding of Health and safety as well as Food Hygiene issues, COSHH.

      Working within the guidelines relating to cross-infection.

      Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in accordance with Cedar Care policies and procedures.

      Have an open, honest, supportive approach.

      Have Excellent culinary skills with a good understanding of special dietary requirements including intolerances, allergies and be familiar with the IDDSI Framework.

 

Job Requirements:

      NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality (Desired but not essential)

      Experience of working within a Care setting

      Experience of managing a Kitchen

      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

      Due to the location a driving licence and access to a car would be beneficial.
