Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00 am-5.00 pm - 40 hours per week.


Location: Cedar Care Head Office, Mortimer House, Clifton Down Road, Clifton, Bristol, BS8 4AE


Rate of Pay: £15 per hour (Depending on Experience and Qualifications)

Job Role:

The role involves supporting the Facilities Manager and Coordinator, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and maintaining efficient operations within allocated budgets. The assistant must be capable of handling both administrative and hands-on tasks related to facility management. Duties to include but not exhaustive to:

  •        Work with the Facilities Manager to ensure proactive maintenance plans are carried out efficiently.
  •        Check all firefighting equipment, alarm systems and emergency lighting to ensure compliance.
  •        Assist in maintaining premises in line with health and safety and infection control regulations.
  •        Direct persons and contractors to required places and monitor their work.
  •        Act as a key holder and be prepared to be on call when needed.
  •        Log in to Helpdesk to allocate tasks to the maintenance team.
  •        Assist with processing orders and stack checks.
  •        Ensure all company cars MOT and servicing are up to date.


Person Specifications:


  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel
  • Good level of both written and spoken English
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Maintaining good time management in performing the tasks required and achieving task completion deadlines.
  • Maintaining a good time keeping and attendance record
