Job Role/Responsibilities

HR Administration:

  • Maintain and update employee personnel records and HR systems to support company growth.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies in line with legislative changes.
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes, including contract renewals, probation review deadlines, training completions, and required licenses/visas.

Recruitment:

  • Handle end-to-end recruitment processes for various roles, from job advertisement to onboarding.
  • Screen candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers to meet recruitment needs.
  • Draft offer letters, employment contracts, and ensure completion of all relevant HR paperwork for new hires.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
  • Communicate company policies and procedures clearly to staff at all levels.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Analyse HR data to provide insights and reports that support decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in all HR records and databases.

General Administration:

  • Perform general administrative duties, including filing, drafting letters, updating spreadsheets, and managing HR documentation.
  • Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and other HR-related events.
  • Assist with payroll administration and benefits management.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within HR operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and contribute to HR projects aimed at improving overall team performance.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Head of HR and other team members to achieve HR objectives.
  • Assist in training new team members and support their integration into the team.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritising work based on urgency and importance.


Skills Required

  • Proven experience in HR administration, with a focus on recruitment and employee relations
  • Flexible, can-do attitude for a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong detail-oriented administration skills.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with integrity, on own initiative, and as part of a team.
  • Excellent IT skills in particular Excel, familiarity with a HRIS system would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A degree in HR or Business, or any third-level degree with an additional HR qualification (e.g., CIPD certificate/diploma).
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in an HR administration role, ideally within a fast-paced retail or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for dealing with sensitive issues effectively.
  • Experience in payroll would be an advantage
