We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team. As the Restaurant Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the overall management of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, and contributing to the achievement of business goals.


The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, a passion for the hospitality industry, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staff management, customer service, and inventory control
  • Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of restaurant staff to ensure a high level of service
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction
  • Assist in planning and executing promotional events, marketing initiatives, and loyalty programs
  • Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Contribute to menu development and pricing strategies to optimise revenue
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, order supplies, and optimise stock control
  • Collaborate with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in analysing sales data and identifying areas for improvement


Role Requirements and Skills

  • Work experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software like seven rooms , maths and reporting skills.
  • Serve guests in a positive, outgoing, and friendly manner.
  •  Thorough knowledge of drink & food menus offering in the restaurant. 
  •   Ability to upsell menu items to guests by offering options and suggestions to guest's   preferences. 
  •  Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. 
  •  Properly and accurately close guest checks, process cash and credit card payments, record all wastage as shown on your induction.
  •    Be in full control of your section and have an awareness of what's going on around you.
  •        Follow the company procedures in which you will be fully trained before you start
  •        Follow the company allergen procedures when dealing with a guest.
  •        Attend and participate in all required meetings or training events.
  •       Understand the menus, offerings, and any upcoming events
  • -       A knowledge of the company and our sister venues is required.

 

Key Attributes:

 

  •     Must be able to work all shifts including, late finishes, weekends, and holidays.
  •      Requires fluency in the English language.
  •      Minimum 5 years of related experience in the role.
  •       Must have a strong F&B knowledge.
  •      Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions. 
  •      Must be a team player and have a "can do" attitude.
  •      Ability to handle pressure and busy periods.
  •      Be clean, punctual, professional in your work and appearance.
