Risk & Compliance Officer

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with key stakeholders both inside and outside the organisation in ensuring that these principles are instilled in the everyday work of all our people. We want you to be the champion of these guiding principles in our Wurth Community.


Your Mission

This person will be instrumental in ensuring Wurth Ireland's adherence to regulatory requirements and maintaining exemplary compliance standards in a number of areas including Health & Safety, Information Technology, Quality Management and Environmental & Sustainability management. Activities will include the following:

      Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks organisation-wide, seeking the advice/assistance of the Wurth Group and or external stakeholders as and when required.

      Create, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.

      Conduct audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations covering all areas of compliance including in the following areas; suppliers' code of conduct, anti-corruption, anti-trust law, data protection, health and safety.

      Undertake fieldtrips nationwide to include assessments at Shop Branches or with our mobile workforce.

      Collaborate with external auditors and stakeholders as needed.

      Provide guidance and support on compliance matters to Heads of Department and general employees.

      Prepare and present on compliance reports for senior management.

      Advise, review, and challenge the business in response to changing regulatory landscapes, identifying impacts, and ensuring timely implementation with relevant Departments.

      Help develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.

      Assist in the management of crisis situations or compliance violations.

      Stay up to date with internal standards and business priorities.

      Wurth Ireland is committed to continuous professional development and the successful person will have the opportunity to undertake further studies as provided for by the Association of Compliance in Ireland.


Skills and Experience

  • Third Level Degree in Business Studies related field/Business Administration desirable, but not essential if relevant experience exists.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience desirable.
  • Business acumen and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret regulations/compliance standards and provide practical solutions and create company level reports of activities.
  • Project management oriented with a grasp of project management methods, tools, and practices
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and influencing stakeholders.
  • Effective collaborator, cultivating working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong integrity and professional ethics.

 

Requirements: Full Drivers licence with a willingness to travel nationwide essential.

Salary: €35-€38,000 DOE

Location: Head Office, Limerick. Remote working option available. Max two days per week.
