The job in a nutshell:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time part qualified accountant to join the finance team on a permanent basis, supporting the significant growth of the business which has occurred over the last number of years into the future.

Reporting to the Finance Manager at our Dublin headquarters, the ambitious individual will have full financial responsibility for a set number of contracts within our portfolio which they will own from start to finish.

Key responsibilities:

      Assisting with the month end reporting process and the production of monthly management accounts to include Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reconciliations with variances to budget and forecast and review of same with the operations managers to strict deadlines;

      Applying analytical skills beyond the traditional functions of finance, bringing them to bear on a broad range of commercial issues;

      Creating an active partnership between finance and operations to drive business decisions and strategy;

      Liaise with contract managers on all financial and commercial aspects of the above contracts to drive a control environment & profitability. Ensuring that all financial issues are closed out in a timely manner;

      Ability to communicate monthly results to management team on a timely basis in a clear and concise manner;

      Strong analytical skills to make recommendations where savings could be made/sales increased;

      In-depth customer profitability analysis across all product ranges highlighting risks and opportunities;

      Ensure working capital is optimised whilst providing clear visibility to the business on non-current debt.

About you:

      ACA, ACCA or CIMA Part qualified accountant with at least 2 years' experience ideally with a commercial background;

      Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate their message clearly, and engage effectively with stakeholders gaining buy in;

      Highly analytical - ability to extract, understand and interpret data to drive change;

      Ability to challenge the status quo with a continuous improvement mindset;

      Self-driven with a hunger for learning and development and doing things right the first time;

      Strong IT Skills - Microsoft office, particularly Excel;

      Enthusiasm, resilience & drive.
