As a software engineer, you will join our software team to support our activities within the Defence sector.

We have teams based in Bristol, Crawley and Glasgow but the role can be remote for candidates who have demonstrable skills. 

You will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge embedded software solutions. Your work will directly impact the effectiveness of critical communication systems used by defence and government agencies. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our products. We have multiple vacancies on this project so can consider various levels of seniority.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Embedded Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for defence visual systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and security protocols.
• System Integration: Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware components, ensuring seamless operation and reliability.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other software-related issues to enhance system efficiency.
• Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and validation of embedded software to meet stringent quality and reliability standards.
