Here at Gousto we have an incredibly exciting opportunity in the form of a Head of Trading (Customer Acquisition)! Reporting into the Acquisition, Retention & Customer Care Director, you and your team will be responsible for delivering (and exceeding!) our targets for acquiring new customers.

To do this, you will be managing a wide range of performance marketing channels (from DRTV to Meta), working with Brand on our end to end marketing strategy, leading our conversion rate optimization programme, and optimizing our acquisition pricing and discounting strategy.

This is an extremely high visibility commercial role, with a huge impact in driving business performance!

Core Responsibilities:

  • Trading & forecast management. Lead forecasting of new subscriber volumes, CPA & discount spend
  • Marketing strategy. Work in collaboration with the Brand marketing team to set out & implement our overall marketing strategy
  • Pricing & promotion optimisation.  Lead strategy & implementation of our acquisition discount strategy
  • Performance marketing. Own performance & optimisation of all of our performance marketing channels, across DRTV, Meta, PPC, Affiliates, Partnerships and Print
  • Marketing effectiveness. Lead Gousto’s marketing effectiveness programme, including econometrics, incremental & uplift studies
  • Digital Product. As part of the Activate Tribe (a wider cross-functional team that include DP, Tech, UX/UI, DS, Analytics, Finance, Insights, Marketing) - work with the Product Manager to define & execute against the most impactful opportunities to drive improve sign up conversion and drive improvements to gross margin
  • Team management & development. Develop & manage a high-performing commercial & marketing team

Who you are:

  • Experienced commercial leader, with a proven track record in Performance Marketing and CRO
  • Extremely analytical; with strong numerical and financial modeling skills (this is critical)
  • Comfortable working directly with Tech teams including data science and data analytics & Digital Product teams
  • Structured problem solver, leveraging relevant data & analytics as needed
  • Customer focused; understands the value and impact of amazing communications and frictionless customer experiences
  • Clear communicator; working brilliantly to get the most out of stakeholders in a variety of business functions (from operations to technology), and able influence across all levels 
  • An brilliant people leader; who can evidence that they have inspired, motivated and developed a high-performing team
  • Action orientated; You love making things happen at pace, and have the skills to lead the way
  • Curious and proactive; always looking to improve the status quo for our customers and the business
