Job Description

The Director of Strategic Projects will partner with key stakeholders, both globally and on a local market level, to drive growth through enhanced connectivity and intelligence. The successful candidate will need to be a “jack of all trades” to match the varied work that the Strategic Projects team conducts, and will thrive in an environment of limited oversight, while demonstrating excellence in communication and collaboration across brands, geographies and practices.

The Strategic Projects unit is a small, dynamic team who must be able to pivot, depending on the requirements of the day. As such, the below list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and may change over time.

GLOBAL PROSPECTING SUPPORT

  • Contribute to the identification and vetting of viable global prospects and, once aligned, support the development of actionable prospecting strategies.
  • Using third-party tools, AI and internal connections, provide in-depth prospecting intelligence for senior execs, including a thorough understanding business results and challenges; current marketing strategies; leadership dynamics, etc.
  • If/when assigned to a specific prospect, monitor and escalate important headlines, news, upcoming events, etc. pertinent to the exec sponsor / prospecting lead.
  • Support in the creation of client presentation decks for prospecting meetings / chemistry sessions, etc.

LOCAL MARKET NETWORK SUPPORT

  • Develop strong relationships with each of the new business / growth leads and/or CEOs of the local EMEA markets through regular, scheduled meetings.
  • Within these meetings, you will be responsible for tracking imminent pitches and prospecting activities, as well as providing support in the development of local pipelines.
  • A key focus of this role is to connect the dots across geographies, ensuring that where markets are prospecting the same client, they are connected and share intelligence.

INTELLIGENCE BRIEFINGS

  • As requested (usually multiple times per week), use third-party tools and desk research to vet incoming pitch opportunities for the executive BD team.
  • Create client dossiers for prospecting opportunities (global, regional or local).
  • On an ad hoc basis, support in the creation of intelligence packs covering:
    • Industry / sector intelligence
    • Competitive intelligence
    • Consultant intelligence

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Responsibility for workload management and personal development of one UK-based Manager/Associate Director.
