Job Description

We’re seeking an organised, driven and proactive HR Advisor (Maternity Cover) with a can do-attitude, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will help to further develop our great people culture. You’ll possess strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships and trust quickly at all levels. You’ll be able to manage a varied workload to tight timescales, whilst maintaining high quality and accuracy.

Reporting into the HR Director, this is also an ideal role for an experienced and ambitious HR Advisor (Maternity Cover), ready for their next challenge.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Providing advice and guidance to employees and managers on a full range of HR queries
  • Carrying out all HR administration as required
  • Managing HR processes including starters, leavers, transfers, performance reviews, absences etc
  • Overseeing all parental friendly processes such as maternity, paternity, shared parental leave and flexible working.
  • Supporting on employee relations matters
  • Carrying out the monthly payroll inputs and submitting to the payroll team
  • Processing and advising employees on benefits
  • Organising new starter onboarding and presenting the HR session
  • Maintaining HR systems and routine and ad-hoc reporting
  • Support and actively participate in HR projects and support the roll out of new employee initiatives
  • Support with the review and development of policies and processes 
  • Organising team social and charity events.

We need you to have

  • 2+ years experience in a fast-paced HR environment including experience of providing a wide range of generalist HR advice to employees and managers
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR policies and procedures
  • Professional, proactive and a can-do attitude and able to work under own initiative
  • Effective communicator, able to build trust and influence at all levels
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and stakeholders
  • Have a flexible approach and be a team player
  • Discreet and able to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and ability to pick up new systems quickly
