What will you be doing?
As a Mechanical System Engineer, you will join Gloucester team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Drive new development initiatives, modifications, and research for landing gear technology.
- Engage in the structural and systems aspects of landing gear projects.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project requirements.
- Lead the end-to-end validation and verification processes for project success.
- Knowledge of designing interfaces between hardware components for optimal integration.
Who are we looking for?
- Expertise in integrating mechanical and/or hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with the Program Chief Engineer to strategically plan engineering activities, ensuring the successful certification of the landing gear system.
- Develop comprehensive system and equipment requirements, including validation and verification matrices, and additional deliverables as part of the validation and verification process.
- Prepare and author Declarations of Design Performance documentation.
- Knowledge of industry-specific compliance standards, such as DO-178C for aerospace.
