Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will provide a high standard of education, care, and safety for children, ensuring their wellbeing is at the heart of everything you do. You will work closely with the team, support children's development, and ensure their safeguarding at all times, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities
Children's Care and Learning:
- Implement the EYFS curriculum, ensuring planning and activities are well-prepared and delivered.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, supporting the children's development, safety, and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with the team to create inclusive activities that meet the needs of all children, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage joyful learning experiences.
- Respect and integrate diverse cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds into daily routines and activities.
- Prepare and serve snacks/meals, accommodating individual dietary needs and following the nursery's food policy.
- Participate actively in staff meetings and contribute to the nursery's continuous improvement.
- Serve as a role model for students and support new staff members in settling into the nursery.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, inspiring them to engage in their child's learning journey.
- Be responsible for maintaining and managing resources effectively.
- Act as a key worker for a specific group of children, ensuring their time at the nursery is fun, educational, and nurturing.
Safeguarding:
- Take all necessary steps to ensure children are safeguarded and protected from harm.
- Report any concerns to the designated safeguarding officer and follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on all changes to safeguarding policies.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records, including observations and progress reports, for each child.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's health, wellbeing, and educational development.
- Participate in planning, assessments, and record-keeping to ensure high-quality care and education.
Hygiene:
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring a safe environment for all children and staff.
Equality and Diversity:
- Promote equality and inclusion in all aspects of your role, supporting the nursery's commitment to providing an inclusive environment for all.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
- Valid Enhanced DBS clearance.
