We are working with a nursery who are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and hard-working Early Years Educator to join a supportive team at a Nursery School in Cottenham.
Position Details:
- Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
- Hours: 40 hours per week, following a shift pattern between 07:30 - 18:30.
Role Overview:
As an Early Years Educator, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and learning experiences for the children in the nursery. You will work closely with children, their families, and the team to ensure a nurturing and safe environment that supports early development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key person for a small group of children, fostering strong relationships with them and their families.
- Promote and support positive relationships between parents, children, and staff.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children, following safeguarding procedures.
- Support the daily routines of the nursery, maintaining a child-centred approach to play and learning.
- Perform light cleaning tasks and maintain a high standard of supervision.
- Ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Be flexible in working hours when necessary.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures diligently.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 2/3 Early Years qualification or equivalent
- A clear DBS check (will be undertaken).
- Passion for child-centred play and learning.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Understanding of safeguarding practices (training provided).
