We are working with a brand new independent small animal practice based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire who are looking for a Permanent Head Veterinary Nurse.

The practice is looking for a confident and ambitious RVN who has good experience working in a small animal practice. The role will involve all aspects of nursing and you will be prepared to develop your skills by collaborating with the wider team. You will perform your nursing duties with confidence to provide the gold standard of care to the practice's loyal clients by assisting vets in surgical procedures. You must have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Your nursing duties will involve assisting in surgery, managing the nurse team, nurse clinics and inpatient care.

This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days, along with weekends on a rota. The practice can discuss hours to suit you better. There will be some night work and on-call on a rota but only once the practice is registered as a hospital.

  • They are looking for an enthusiastic, goal oriented and self-motivated veterinary nurse to continue the rapid growth of the practice
  • You will need to be comfortable liaising with other veterinary team members, specialists and service providers

Package:
  • Salary: £32,000 to £38,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays and birthday off
  • CPD: Generous allowance with 3 days to attend
  • Memberships: RCVS and VDS fees paid
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Statutory sick pay
Must haves:
  • RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
