Culligan Shared Services is seeking a talented and experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team on a 6m FTC.

The role of the Accounting & Reporting Associate is to:

Assume responsibility for the accurate and timely delivery of financial reporting, both management and statutory for the holding and central service companies within the Culligan UK business. The Financial Accountant role is responsible for the end-to-end accounting and financial reporting for these entities in line with Culligan UK policies and controls, and will provide technical and audit support to all UK group companies as and when required.

 

The Management Accountant should be highly motivated, and improvement focused. They should be a qualified accountant with strong technical experience, including US GAAP. They should be able to demonstrate strong strategic thinking, problem solving, planning and communication skills, in addition to technical accounting capabilities.

Requirements

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

 This list is provided as an overview and is by no means exhaustive:

  • Produce accurate, complete, and timely monthly, quarterly and annual relevant reporting, including reconciliations, management pack, business review pack, tax pack and audit pack in accordance with US GAAP and Group accounting policies
  • Work closely with the Group Accounting Manager and wider RTR and finance leadership team to obtain appropriate insight into business performance, driving insightful analysis, and commentary for reporting.
  • Manages the integrity of relevant provisions, supported by calculations.
  • Perform appropriate journal entries/adjustments (with appropriate supporting documentation) ensuring GL reconciliation are timely and accurate.
  • Perform assurance and control responsibilities for entities responsible for, ensuring adequate review and reconciliations, including sub-leger to GL reconciliations / review
  • Support the business in working capital management by providing appropriate WC reports and forecasts where required.
  • Ensure the reconciliation of any Fixed asset registers, investments etc by performing asset creations, transfers, and asset changes on system.
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts for UK holding and central services companies.
  • Support the global internal controls agenda by implementing and maintaining the internal controls across the UK entities.
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors and support the provision of timely information.
  • Recommend potential controls / process improvements if identified
  • Experience with e-commerce businesses and platform would be highly beneficial.
