Equal Education Partners are recruiting for Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors to work as Chaperones at Cardiff University this summer! 

You will be working 13-hour night shifts, at a rate of £20 per hour, supporting groups of summer School pupils alongside the University’s Student Ambassadors. Your main responsibility will be to remain contactable throughout the duration of the shift, in the event of any emergencies. 

This role is based in Pen-Y-Lan, offering free parking onsite, as well as breakfast following the night shift. 

At the Summer School, there are 3 cohorts of up to 100 students that you will be chaperoning on 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 8th, 9th, 16th and 17th July 2024. Cardiff University has a stringent Safeguarding policy in place, with Student Ambassadors on hand to support throughout each shift. You will be required to complete our free safeguarding course if you have not got an up to date certificate.

Requirements

-       Have an enhanced DBS on the update service. 

-       Listen in on a shift briefing before having to allocate student groups to their accommodation. 

-       Keep any mobile devices switched on in the event of an emergency.
