Our Finance Team at RVG is growing and on the lookout for a Portfolio Analyst for an 18 month FTC who has strong financial modelling experience.

The role will carry out financial analysis on our largely residential property portfolio to enable effective asset management decision making. Working closely with our sales, operations and finance teams to carry out modelling of different strategic options for our assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modelling

  • Create financial models and cashflows to test different scenarios
  • Work with different teams and tools to obtain the necessary inputs
  • Carry out sensitivity analysis
  • Liaise with our valuers to discuss and agree on modelling approaches and valuation impact
  • Work with the Finance team to incorporate modelling into annual financial account

Asset Business Planning

  • Use financial models to facilitate business decision-making
  • Work closely with the Property team to update asset business plans with clear recommendations and financial implications.

Collaborative working

  • Work closely with Sales team to understand sales and rental prices, trends and future values
  • Work closely with the Operations team to understand current and future operating costs
  • Work closely with the Development team where development activity will value asset add and incorporate into modelling

Training

  • Create SOPs on approach to financial modelling and asset business planning
  • Run training sessions on financial models and how they support business decision-making

What does the successful candidate look like?

  • Qualified surveyor (MRICS or equivalent) with experience in financial modelling.
  • Ideally experience with residential property or development activity (but neither essential)
  • OR Qualified accountant/analyst (CA, CFA or equivalent) with experience in property
  • Ideally experience with incorporating models into financial accounts (but not essential)
  • Experience in asset business planning and strategic planning
  • Expert in Excel and modelling
