As a Lead Gameplay Engineer with Lighthouse Games, you will have the opportunity to lead and shape the development of innovative gameplay systems for our upcoming projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the gameplay engineering team in designing and implementing cutting-edge gameplay systems
- Collaborate with the design team to create engaging and immersive gameplay experiences
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their growth and development
- Assume ownership of key gameplay features and systems, ensuring their quality and performance
- Identify and address technical challenges and bottlenecks in the development process
- Contribute to the overall technical vision and roadmap of the studio
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in gameplay engineering
Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Gameplay Engineer on multiple shipped AAA titles
- Strong proficiency in C++ and experience with relevant gameplay scripting languages
- Solid understanding of game development principles, including game physics, animation, and artificial intelligence
- Proven track record of leading and managing a team of engineers
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
- Passion for creating innovative and immersive gameplay experiences
