We are looking for a Goods in / Out Stock Control Team Leader to play a valuable part in our mission to create great consumer experiences which drive brand loyalty. We work across multiple sectors including FMCG, health and beauty, luxury goods, retail and technology.

The objective of the role is to assist the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse team with the day to day running of the warehouse and ensure the receipt, inventory and reporting of all goods received, and all goods ready for delivery are dispatched. The position is based in Bedford working five days a week Monday to Friday.

Key Accountabilities

    • Manage the planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, and dispatch of goods
    • Manage and give direction to members of the team, provide coaching and guidance where required.
    • Sign for, check and inspect goods received; ensuring they are of an accurate quantity, type and acceptable quality.
    • Keep the in-house asset management system / asset register updated.
    • Label and locate products with other relevant campaign elements within the warehouse
    • Liaise with internal teams to inform them of the arrival or non-arrival of any elements related to the campaigns, assist in locating elements within the warehouse.
    • Pick and pack event kits, EM kits, Field Support Kits, ready for loading, label accordingly.
    • Inventory and communicate inventories of returned campaigns to the relevant campaign team.
    • Contact couriers to coordinate dispatch and delivery of goods.
    • Maintain racking stock location system, monitor movements, keep inventories up to date.
    • Load and unload goods from company & third- party vehicles.
    • Organise items in set areas ready to pick and pack, accurately update stock system & goods in advice.
    • Check Proof of delivery and provide reports to the relevant campaign managers.
    • Operate Company vehicles when necessary.

Requirements

    • Have an understanding and experience of material / stock management techniques and inventory control methods and procedures
    • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, dealing with different product types
    • Experience of supervising and coordinating the work of team members
    • Strong IT skills including Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Word.
    • Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including standing, sitting, walking throughout the day, repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling elements from shelves, occasional climbing of ladders and use of pallet trucks.
    • Working knowledge of current UK and European Health and Safety regulations.
    • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
    • Proactive can-do attitude
    • Able to work cooperatively within a team
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Forklift truck license - counterbalance
    • Full driving license
    • Able to work flexible hours including weekends during busy periods
