We are looking to hire a Procurement Specialist Contractor for a 6 months project within the engineering team to enable Quantum technologies. What You’ll Accomplish 

  • Procurement Management: Assist in the procurement of engineering components, tools, and equipment, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition and be responsible for the pricing negotiations. 
  • Inventory Management: Oversee and manage inventory of engineering supplies, ensuring accurate records and timely reordering. 
  • Vendor Coordination: Work closely with suppliers and contractors to facilitate orders, track shipments, and resolve any issues that arise. 

Requirements

The 3 Most Critical Attributes  

  1. Procurement Knowledge: Understanding of procurement processes, including vendor management, cost negotiation, and order tracking. 
  2. Administrative Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 
  3. Technical Understanding: Basic knowledge of engineering principles to effectively support the technical needs of the team. 

Must-have Skills 

  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in procurement, pricing negotiations, administrative support, or a related field. 
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation. 
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software. 
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Education: Degree or completed coursework in engineering, business administration, or a related discipline. 

Nice-to-have Skills 

  • Technical Experience: Experience working with engineering components, circuit boards, and test equipment.
