This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Leamington or Bicester where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Project Engineer in Interiors, you will play a critical role in our engineering endeavours. You will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of closure systems for our innovative vehicle models.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for Design for manufacture and assembly for responsible components.
• Report to Principal Project Engineers responsible for the relevant commodities.
• Prepares full project documents.
• Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials or products.
• Engineering responsibility (including design and release) of one of the vehicle interior systems: Cockpit system (Instrument panel, Centre Console Door Trims, HVAC), Seats, Safety and Restraints systems, Cabin Trim (Upper trim, Lower and rear trim, NVH).
• 3D package modelling, manage interface with styling and Work Package management.
• Design sizing analysis: Sub system loads, joints and interfaces, materials selection, bolt calculations as well as assembly level simulation, cost, timing and mass.
