The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity to work with the Energy Council, an established 15-year brand who run successful events for their global network of investors, financiers, energy, and technology providers. The role will build on the current successes and growth in sales, including the strategy of the company as they expand their portfolio in the upstream, midstream, and downstream sector.

The working environment is dynamic and fast-paced within a team and on an autonomous level, allowing for creativity to move the business forward. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm, determination, and the confidence to take their sales skills and energy to the next level!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the sales plan is delivered to plan - on target and on budget.
  • Knowledge of the development of different revenue streams and understanding of creative and complex sales.
  • Knowledge of key market drivers and ability to reflect them in the direction and output of the business.
  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape and ability to identify key USPs for relevant shows.
  • Work effectively with the Delegate Sales team when needed.
  • Ability to identify development opportunities to increase event/product mix within mark.
  • Ensure that every event has a sales retention plan in place.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviour:

  • Experience in looking beyond the traditional conference industry revenue model and open to embracing and creating new ideas around revenue generation.
  • A proven track record of delivering revenue against target.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Confident with the ability to build rapport and lasting relationships with senior executives.
  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills, working on numerous events concurrently.
  • Experience using Salesforce, Qualified, Qwilr and Pardot are desirable.
  • A passion and interest in energy, energy transition and cleantech.
