Advnture's team of experts produce online content covering a range of outdoor pursuits, including hiking, camping, trail-running, winter sports, and wild swimming. Our readers come to us for our in-depth reviews, expert buying advice, essential how-to guides, and compelling news stories and features.

We have an exciting opportunity to join this successful team as a Staff Writer. If you’re a digital writer or digital media specialist with a can-do attitude and a talent for writing engaging audience-first content, we want to hear from you!

Advnture is looking for a Staff Writer with a passion for the outdoors and a flair for writing engaging news, features and reviews to take on this exciting role.

Reporting to the Editor, as Staff Writer you will be responsible for sourcing and writing news and features. You will also be updating and writing informative product and shopping content in the form of buying guides and deals articles. From hiking boots and tents to running shoes and GPS watches, you will have your finger on the pulse when it comes to the very best outdoor equipment and gear. 

You should be a first-rate writer with up-to-date digital skills and strong SEO knowledge, as well as the ability to work calmly under pressure, proactively communicate and meet deadlines.

• A keen interest and knowledge of the outdoors
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of writing digital content, preferably including news, features and product reviews 
• Ability to deliver content to tight deadlines
• Excellent time management skills 
• Knowledge of SEO and digital traffic 
• Experience of working with content management systems 
• Can-do, positive attitude and willingness to turn your hand to news writing when necessary
