Job Purpose

As Porsche engage in creating an industry leading Ecosystem for EV charging, the E-Performance Manager plays a key role in driving this topic through ensuring we are engaged on the right projects, those projects are correctly managed and deliver towards the PCGB and PAG strategies.

 

The E-Performance Manager has overall responsibility for the holistic strategic direction of our EcoSystem – in conjunction with the Charging Project Lead and Department Manager and Director.

Specifically, they are responsible for the ensuring the areas of Home Charging, On the Road Charging, Destination Charging and Dealer Charging are customer focused and compliant. They are also responsible for the project management and delivery of the Porsche HPC Charging Lounges and associated projects. Utilising their extensive experience of charging infrastructure, project management and technical EV charging knowledge they will be looking after one of the most transformational project in the business.

Core Responsibilities
  • Ensure we have relevant, co-ordinated and powerful customer offers in all areas of charging in the UK – including Home, Destination, Dealer and On the Road.
  • To take the lead and overall responsibility for monitoring UK and European charging regulations for all charging hardware and customer use cases.
  • Work closely in conjunction with PAG and PCGB compliance functions to ensure we maintain a compliant and competitive charging offer/EcoSystem
  • Work closely with Network Development and wider business departments to ensure charging compliance and customer offer planning is fully integrated into the dealer charging long term planning – inline with the business and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and build relationships with external stakeholders (PAG, Centres and Partners) and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and transparency on all responsible charging topics
  • Be the overall project manager for the High Performance Charging Lounge project in the UK. Ensure the project meets both internal and PAG goals for securing sites, partners and builds.
  • Manage all internal stakeholders and external partners through to successful delivery of the project on time and on budget
  • Support the department, Department Manager and Director with management decks, reporting and up to date project updates as per business requirements.
  • Provide the holistic overview of the charging EcoSystem (in-conjunction with the Charging Project Lead) and ensure all topics are integrated and aligned.
  • Be the Subject matter expert on charging hardware, installation, regulations, power and infrastructure.

Personal Requirements

  • Knowledge and/or experience of charging and EVs is required
  • Experience/knowledge of charging hardware, infrastructure and installations and regulations impacting this.
  • Proven experience in managing high value, complex, multiple stakeholder projects (ideally in EV or Automotive but all PM experience considered)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A confident presenter, ability to pitch new ideas and projects
  • Self-starter attitude, taking initiative to independently follow up on projects and staying on top of deadlines
  • Highly organised, diligent, with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience of working at a fast pace
  • Ability to travel to our Centre network or prospective HPC sites/venues on a regular basis and attend relevant PAG and PCGB meetings (Travel within the UK and Europe / full driving license required)
  • Powerful analytical skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships at all levels of business
