Who are we?

Oxa is enabling the transition to self-driving vehicles through an initial focus on the most commercially advanced sector; the autonomous shuttling of goods and people.

We are home to some of the world’s leading experts on autonomous vehicles, creating solutions such as Oxa Driver, equipping vehicles with full self-driving functionality; Oxa MetaDriver, using Generative AI to accelerate and assure the safety of deployments; and Oxa Hub, a set of cloud-based offerings for autonomous fleet management. Our technology is being deployed across the UK and the U.S, and we’re partnering with a fast-growing ecosystem of operators, vehicle OEMs and equipment makers serving autonomous transportation globally as it advances.

Based in Oxford, and with offices in Canada and the U.S, Oxa was founded in 2014 and is  growing rapidly (350+ ‘Oxbots’ to date). Our purpose is to change the way the Earth moves, through an uncompromising focus on safety, efficiency and explainability of our AI approaches. The company has attracted $225 million from leading investors so far, with $140 million raised in the last Series C funding round in January 2023.

Your Team

The Solutions Team is the bridge between Commercial and Product Engineering, orchestrating multiple teams to deliver solutions that meet our customers’ needs. They are the constant companion to the customer from early engagement through to launch and delivery. In partnership with solutions architects, they understand customer requirements, assess feasibility and develop proposals. They lead programs in partnership with product engineering to get the work done that the customer needs, and they deploy self-driving solutions to our customers. Their skills range from operational and project management through to hands-on engineers with experience of deploying robotics in the field. They are constantly seeking to reduce the cost and variation required to deploy autonomy for a customer.

Your Role

As VP of Global Solutions, you will lead your teams to devise and deliver solutions for customers, work with partner teams to put the processes and metrics in place that we need to scale, and scale the Solutions organisation to meet the needs of customers and the business.

You and your teams will work closely with customers and solutions architects to understand their needs and build rigorous plans to ensure that partner teams and third-party providers are set up to deliver everything that your customers need, when they need it.

To succeed, you will need to have substantial experience of scaling an operational team with experience in the physical world. You will be responsible for making sure that equipment, vehicles and people are available in the right places at the right times, and that the software meets the needs of our customers. You will be accomplished at developing the right management mechanisms, reporting and metrics to help you to efficiently scale the operation.

We recently made our first commercial deployments of passenger shuttles and we are working on our first customer deployments of asset monitoring and off-highway logistics. While the basics are in place, this will be a hands-on leadership role to ensure the success of these early deployments while continuing to prepare the organisation for scale.

Requirements

What you need to succeed:

  • Substantial experience of program managing deployments of a highly technical product with complex dependencies, ideally in the physical world.
  • Experience of leading in a technology business, with the technical expertise (computer science or engineering) to understand and fully participate in discussions about software, machine learning and hardware as they relate to the solutions we must deliver.
  • Track record of developing management mechanisms, reporting and metrics to manage, scale and improve an operation.
  • Exemplary customer-facing experience, able to manage B2B relationships at an executive level, and a track record of leading others to work effectively with customers.
  • Experience leading in a solutions delivery role and strong familiarity with best practices in working with partner teams such as commercial and customer support.
  • Experienced and empathetic people manager with experience of hiring, developing and managing diverse talent.
