Castle Retirement Village, based in Berkhamsted is on the lookout for a Community Co-ordinator.

Hours: 22.5 hours 3 or 4 days a week.

The Community Co-ordinator will take ownership for leading and developing events and activities. You will be responsible for resident and local community engagement, offering one point of call for the residents and communications to all our residents. You will be the driving force around maintaining exceptional levels of customer service for residents and their families.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing open and transparent communications between the residents and the village management team through technology, newsletters, bulletins.
  • Work collaboratively with the village Residents’ Association and its elected Committee and Officers.
  • Facilitate the village community engagement plan.
  • Assist with the move in process of new residents
  • Work with residents and village staff to ensure a wide varied programme of activities.
  • Build working relationships with external providers, suppliers and organisations within the local community

 

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience arranging activities and events
  • Professional approach with high quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and a real ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Genuine interest in providing quality service to customers and residents.
  • Enthusiastic, passionate and the ability to build rapport with ease.
  • An awareness of basic Health & Safety.
  • Approachable and open manner – able to demonstrate empathy
