Join us as a Management Accountant and you'll work within our talented Finance team to drive impactful projects and contribute to our success at Naked Wines on a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

Location: Norwich (1 or 2 days per week at our Norwich office)

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

Produce Timely and Accurate Accounts:

  • Prepare management accounts for Naked Wines UK, Fine Wine Bond, and Prepayment Trust with detailed monthly reconciliations (balance sheet & revenue).

Internal Financial Reporting:

  • Generate insightful internal reports to provide a clear view of our financial position, commitments, and performance against budgets and forecasts.

Financial Analysis and Commentary:

  • Collaborate with Finance Business Partners (FBPs) and the Head of Accounting to analyse results, offer detailed commentary, and assist in re-forecasting.

Statutory Accounts Preparation

  • Prepare statutory accounts for the UK.

Cashflow Forecasting

  • Prepare and analyse weekly cash flow forecasts

HMRC Compliance

  • Prepare quarterly group UK VAT returns

Statutory Returns:

  • Complete other statutory returns including payment practice reporting, ONS submissions and other company surveys.

Project Support:

  • Assist broader teams with project work and provide ad hoc investigation, analysis, and reporting to support business decisions.

Audit Support:

  • Help the team deliver successful internal and external audits.

What we're looking for:

A Problem Solver: Naturally adept at identifying and solving problems.

Highly Analytical: Detail-oriented, accurate, and data-driven.

An Excellent Communicator: Able to bridge the gap between financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Proactive and Organised: Self-starter with strong organisational skills.

A Team Player: Collaborative and supportive, with a strong team spirit.

And you’ll need the following experience:

  • 1 + years of post qualified experience
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)

Preferable if you have:

Experience working in fast moving commercial organisation or experience working with fast moving commercial organisations if from a practice background..
