From Swimming lessons, to walking football and everything in-between we are driven to provide fun and welcoming sessions to support the whole community to be active, both within our leisure centres and in the local community.

We are looking for a Technical Assistant to join our friendly and professional team. You will be responsible for the preventative planned maintenance (PPM) and repair of plant and equipment including fixtures and fitting. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience within a similar role or industry with a general maintenance/repair skill set. Experience in wet and dry side plant rooms would be an advantage as you will be responsible for keeping the pools operational. You will be working off your own initiative and be able to complete and update appropriate technical records. Undertaking repairs where appropriate, and also on occasion be available outside of business hours. Experience or knowledge in spa pool operations and minor plumbing or electrical repairs would be advantageous but is not essential.

Hours: 18 hours per week

Requirements

  • To maintain and operate all building services and to take responsibility for the preventative planned maintenance (PPM).
  • Experience of working with technical plant and services is desirable.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service ethics.
  • Be able to work at weekends and overnight where necessary
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with an essentially non-technical user base.
  • The post holder must have a high level of responsibility, flexibility, enthusiasm and motivation.
  • Mobility to travel across sites
