About the role- Ecommerce Executive

We’re looking for a dynamic and inquisitive ecommerce executive to join our expanding team, working across two incredibly exciting brands as they scale over the coming years. 

The Ecommerce executive works at the heart of the business by managing the products, merchandising and trading activities of the business’s consumer brands and working with all teams to deliver trading performance.

This is an analytical, varied role which will contribute to improving conversion, driving traffic and offer a unique opportunity to impact the growth and success of both brands.

Day to day you will have the autonomy and flexibility to work on either brand. You could spend the morning helping build out a trading campaign for Patch and the afternoon testing new onsite merchandising for Arena Flowers.

The role will report into Olivia Smith  (Trading Manager at Arena.Online), but will work closely with the full consumer team, as well as other teams across Arena.Online and external suppliers.

Core Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the product life cycle of listing on both Patch and Arena Flowers

    1. Managing product creation and listing in back-end systems
    2. Managing how new products are displayed on the brands’ websites and calling on respective teams in the business to drive improvements
    3. Keeping listings current and up to date, removing old products and working in a way that supports trading and SEO
    4. Maintaining product information on website, in range plans and other documentation
    5. Liaising with the business on product and stock queries for both brands, including to suppliers

Reporting to the Trading Manager and supporting them with trading activities

    1. Planning trading campaigns
    2. Managing actions to the trading plans
    3. Updating the websites in line with trading plans
    4. Supporting range reviews, tests and projects
    5. Managing the presentation of products for all brands (ranking, requesting imagery improvements)
    6. Monitoring competitor pricing and promotions & data collection of ranges and highlighting changes to the team

Working with the Trading Manager, Growth and the Content Editor on improving Patch Plants & Arena Flowers brand websites

    1. BAU improvements and changes to support trading
    2. Weekly site-walks
    3. Creation of new pages and updating of existing pages
    4. Working on larger projects (SEO, product launches)

Managing and helping to grow secondary channels to the business, e.g. Amazon, Selfridges or other channels

    1. Reporting on key metrics to the team in weekly execution meeting

You will also have the opportunity in supporting the launch of new brands in the future

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in ecommerce desirable but not essential
  • Accuracy and good attention to detail 
  • Strong communication skills across a multi-location team
  • Strong ability to be flexible, multitask and to adapt to changing priorities
  • A problem solving, structured and analytical mind
  • Able to interpret data and turn it into insights
  • Good working knowledge of Google software

  • A love of plants, flowers, and/or interior design is an advantage, but not required

Benefits

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000, dependant upon experience.
