Location: Harwell (office based with hybrid working upon successful completion of probation period) 

Salary Range: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Typically Hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm or 8:30am - 4:30pm)

As a result of internal progression, we have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our friendly and supportive Finance Department, based in  our Harwell Head Office. Requirements

Your role:

You will be responsible for providing transactional accounting, administrative and clerical support to the Finance Department. The role involves the processing of financial documents and transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and responding to queries. You will also contribute to the timely delivery of monthly management accounts and year end statutory financial statements and audits.

Your experience:

Essential:

• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g Xero, Access Financials, Bamboo & Hubspot)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Proficient in MS Excel to an intermediate standard 
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Level 2 AAT Qualified.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role
• Level 3 AAT or above studier
