As an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with strong technical accounting and commercial skills gained within an expanding SME environment, you will demonstrate a track record of delivering robust financial and cost control procedures, business profitability, increasing financial value and challenging key stakeholders on business-critical decision making. The role demands strong technical capability, the ability to plan for future growth, the gravitas to positively influence the Group and a hands-on, proactive approach. Responsibilities:

  • Co- ordinate and manage group cash flow and bank liaison 
  • Administer and supervise payroll for the company 
  • Monthly crew payroll, including creation, submission and queries 
  • Preparation & analysis of group monthly management accounts, performance, variances & trends 
  • Overseeing the control of Payables and Receivables 
  • Responsibility of review and finalisation of quarterly VAT returns as well as lead the relationships with HMRC/Companies House for various matters 
  • Continuously liaising and supporting operations team on various tasks including job confirmation, job reconciliation etc.
  • Providing various weekly reports as required 
  • Provide support and additional resource for the duties undertaken by Finance officer, including but not limited to invoice processing, bank reconciliations, payments, and other ad hoc duties
  • Assisting with the day-to-day accounts functions within the Finance department as required

Requirements

  • Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and Vlookups 
  • Sage 50 Accounts experience essential 
  • Be approachable and trusted by the crew and office staff as well as external stakeholders 
  • Highly organized and able to plan and multi-task 
  • Adapts quickly to changes 
  • Self-motivated and outgoing 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Comfortable with delegating 
  • Good team player 
  • Able to identify problems in processes and resolve them in a quick and timely manner 
  • Able to work under pressure and motivate a team to deliver even in difficult circumstances 
  • Must be based in London

 

Qualifications

  • ACCA / CIMA Qualified  or Qualified by Experience.
