Scope of Role

This is a permanent 3 day-a-week Global Legal Counsel role predominantly supporting the legal team’s compliance function. We are looking for someone with material experience in both data protection and ESG matters. There will be plenty of opportunity to get involved in all areas of the department’s activities once you have become familiar with the ITRS group’s key partners, products and processes.

As a Legal Counsel, you will:
  • Working with the two other members of the UK based in-house legal team, on a very broad range of global commercial, legal and compliance issues. Reporting to the Global Head of Legal.
  • Assimilate with ITRS business, our products and its processes.
  • Build relationships with partners.
  • Help with the ongoing development and delivery of legal and compliance policies, procedures, processes, and training materials.
  • Have and interest in and taking a lead on all general compliance obligations across the business (including ESG and Carbon Emission reporting) with support from the team. Our investors put important emphasis on ESG, as such we are looking for someone to advocate for ESG within ITRS.
  • Take responsibility for all data protection matters affecting the ITRS Group as “Data Protection Lead” under the supervision of the Legal Team.
  • Work with the Legal Team on general commercial matters globally.
  • Be a great overall teammate to everyone in a small but close and friendly environment.

You will have:
  • 2-4 years’ PQE, in Compliance, Corporate, Regulatory or Financial Services but open to considering Commercial and Technology Areas.
  • Educational background.
  • Experience in-house is useful but not essential.
  • Experience delivering on complex projects in challenging and sometimes time-sensitive circumstances.
  • Experience in roles requiring an ability to work with all levels, building relationships internally and externally.
  • Be a good team player and live ITRS’ company values including having an opinion and sharing it.
  • Flexible working may be considered for you following successful completion of probation period. Interest in flexible working should be stated by candidate at interview stage.
