Company Overview: Join SMPnet as we revolutionise power grid management worldwide. We seek a skilled Delivery Manager to oversee crucial projects integrating our advanced power grid management solutions into the systems of our utility clients (across Europe). This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution and delivery of project phases, from design through implementation.

Key Objectives:

  • Ensure timely, within-scope, and on-budget delivery of innovation or BAU projects with our utility clients.
  • Establish scalable, ISO-compliant delivery processes for current and future projects.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among consortium partners and internal teams.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring and closing, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
  • Timeline and Milestone Management: Develop and maintain project schedules. Monitor progress against milestones and implement corrective actions to stay on track.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise project teams, ensuring clear communication of goals, roles, and responsibilities. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among technical teams, vendors, and partners.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues. Keep all parties informed and engaged.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify and address potential risks and issues impacting project delivery. Develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets to control costs and meet financial objectives. Prepare budget reports and forecasts as required.
  • Process Improvement: Lead the development and continuous improvement of delivery processes to ensure they are scalable and ISO-compliant.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: At least five years of experience in project or delivery management, ideally in the energy or utilities sector.

Skills:

·       Strong project management skills with expertise in methodologies like Agile or PRINCE2.

·       Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.

·       Proficient with project management software and tools.

·       Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

·       Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.

·       Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Reporting Structure:

  • Report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Location & Attendance:

  • Based in the United Kingdom with occasional travel to project sites and partner locations.
