As a Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations within our organisation. Your primary responsibility will be full ownership of a newly created Group Sales Ledger role. You will also provide support to existing staff across Accounts Payable & Credit Control, set performance targets, and ensure effective credit control processes. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage finance systems, and help set and maintain internal KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

Group Sales Ledger

  • Issue all   Sales Invoices for ITG UK across 2 platforms
  • Be a key stakeholder in the onboarding of new clients & franchise clients
  • Identify & implement efficiency initiatives to speed up the order to cash cycle
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a robust inter-company invoicing process
  • Control Invoicing process for overseas subsidiaries

Staff Support and Development:

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the AP, AR and Treasury teams
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote professional growth.
  • Address staff inquiries and concerns promptly.

Credit Control Performance:

  • Monitor credit control processes, including collections, invoicing, and payment reconciliation.
  • Provide medium term Inflow forecasting
  • Analyse credit risk and recommend improvements to minimise bad debt.
  • Collaborate with Credit Control Team and other stakeholders to optimise credit policies.

Service Level Agreements (SLAs):

  • Develop and maintain SLAs with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Resolve customer-related inquiries within agreed-upon timeframes.

Finance Systems Management:

  • Work with the Group FC and others to help develop the usage of the Finance System (Sage Intacct) to support billings/collection/payment
  • Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in finance shared services or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel proficiency (xlookup, sumifs etc)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, (Useful but not required - Sage Intacct/Synergist)
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data effectively.
  • Ability to work autonomously
