About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Analytics Manager who can bring their broad knowledge in generating analytical solutions to our business. Working with our established team of analysts, this person will be at the heart of our data strategy and its continued development. As our Analytics Manager you will oversee and create actionable and insightful analysis from our data estate to enable teams to reach successful and scientific outcomes. You will work cross-departmentally to assist with decision-making and performance measurement.

At Confused.com we continue to have great success by embedding our analytical, engineering and product experts into delivery squads that empower them to have a laser-like focus on their domains. These teams move the needle every day for our customers by taking their expertise and delivering on key data driven strategic objectives. You will be crucial in ensuring that these teams are delivering against our data strategy in relation to that area, while also ensuring business wide communication and cross team collaboration occurs across data and analytics where required. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead a team of 8 of our embedded analysts by providing guidance, support, and mentorship
• Develop our analytics strategies by uncover actionable insights, to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
• Propose, design and lead analytics projects and initiatives that will optimise the use of data and analytics within the business
• Work closely within multiple departments and directly with our senior leadership to understand the key analytical and data challenges in their areas, and translate this into actionable requirements and deliverables
• Work directly with the analytics and data leadership teams, to undertake sophisticated analysis that propels the business forward, with clear data driven solutions and recommendations to business problems
• Continue to embed and educate across the business a data-driven and insight-led approach to decision making, while ensuring appropriate analytical and testing solutions are robust
• Directly liaise with key stakeholders and product leads to proactively overcome blockers and keep projects on track, stepping in to facilitate direction where necessary
• Develop and maintain our reporting solution, ensuring it meets our evolving business needs
  
  

What you'll bring to the role:

Essential

• 5+ years of experience delivering consultative data analytics
• Proven track record of managing a team of data professionals
• Ability to apply logic and reasoning with data to identify solutions to complex business problems
• Ability in articulating a compelling and action-focused story by using data and analytical technique to capture the minds of key internal stakeholders
• Highly effective communication skills with the ability to translate detailed analysis into clear documents, business cases and proposals
• Experience of experimentation through conversion rate optimisation programmes 
• Strong experience in with one or more coding languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R), as well as visualisation tools like Tableau, PowerBI, Excel etc

Highly Desirable 

• Expertise in digital analytics tools like Google Analytics
• Expertise in utilising analytics within digital media mechanics (SEO, PPC, display and affiliates)
• Expertise in utilising analytics within CRM and loyalty marketing
• Expertise in the financial services market
