About the Role:

You will be responsible for providing onsite and remote user support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, system administration, utilising security software and procedures.  The successful candidate will be technically minded and be able to learn new technologies as they evolve. Time management is extremely important in this role.  You will work closely with multiple suppliers, multiple internal departments, and multiple Eriez team members worldwide. This position contributes greatly to the overall efficiency of the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, and in person.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and resolve them efficiently.
  • Monitor system performance and perform administrative tasks.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, such as updates and patches.
  • Setup and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware devices.
  • Coordinate hardware repairs and replacements
  • Onboard, offboard, and maintain user accounts primarily through Active Directory.
  • Report and escalate issues to management when needed.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Educate users on best practices for information security.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and user information.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.
  • Collaborate with employees, suppliers, and management, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience repairing PCs and peripheral equipment.
  • Experience installing, setting up and testing software on PCs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Ethernet/Wi-Fi topology.
  • Solid technical background.
  • Knowledge of Antivirus, backup solutions, and system monitoring
  • Demonstrate drive in continuous process improvement.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
