Established in 2015, Rat & Boa is the brainchild of friends Valentina Muntoni and Stephanie Bennett. Championing the essence of duality, Rat & Boa is more than a fashion label; it's a celebration of femininity and individuality. Born from a friendship of two distinct aesthetics and a shared desire to create unique pieces, Rat & Boa is a celebration of nostalgic glamour with a modern twist. Each collection tells its own story, interwoven with vivid signature prints, silhouettes and tones. Driven by continued inspiration, we continue to grow, building our Rat and Boa world and exploring new challenges. Rat and Boa have plans to branch into new categories over the coming year, growing into a fully-fledged fashion house.

The role

We are looking to add a Junior IT Technician to our technical team. This apprenticeship role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while studying, setting you on a path towards a successful career in IT. 

As a company, we like to push what’s possible with the platforms we use, building out solutions to try and give us a competitive edge. This role will be an integral part of building a team that will help us continue to do this and achieve the goals we’ve set for our next phase of growth.

The main elements of the role are:

IT Support

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all hardware and software used within the organisation.
• Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, networks, workstations, networking hardware, and peripheral equipment.
• Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.
• Ensure security and privacy protocols are followed to protect systems and data.

Operations Platform Support

• Provide technical Shopify support to the wider team.
• Provide technical support for wider operations platforms.
• Implement and maintain Shopify product listings, update content, and ensure all listings are optimised for performance and accuracy.

Requirements

We want to hear from you if you can demonstrate…

• the ability to address IT issues such as hardware maintenance, software malfunctions, and network problems.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• A clear passion for all things IT and tech

It's an added bonus (but not essential) if you have....

• Experience using Shopify
• Knowledge of security and privacy protocols to protect systems and data.
• Proficiency in providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software.
