As a Kitchen Porter at British Pullman, A Belmond Train, you are part of a team that produces the highest quality cuisine for our guests. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping the kitchen areas and equipment clean and organised to ensure an efficient working environment. Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Washing, rinsing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots and pans used by kitchen staff.

• Operating dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely.

• Ensuring the kitchen, including countertops, sinks, floors and walls, is kept clean and sanitised.

• Assisting the kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping and cleaning vegetables, as needed.

• Assisting in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies, detergents and kitchen essentials.

Requirements

What You Bring:

• 1-2 years’ relevant experience within a similar role. Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward or dishwasher is advantageous, ideally in a luxury/five-star environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation techniques.

• Strong organisational, communication and collaborative skills.

• Physical stamina, ability to work under pressure and to work flexible hours.
