What you will do:

As a Senior Full-Stack/Backend Engineer you will play a pivotal role in building Round’s offerings. Working hands on with the founders and key stakeholders to bring prototypes and ideas to life.

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Contribute to delivering on our product roadmap to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in building core components of Round’s products using service-oriented architecture, including both backend and frontend applications.
  • Assist in setting up infrastructure and monitoring to support fast and safe delivery through CI/CD and testing frameworks.
  • Work closely with the founders, product team, sales team, and partners to help define the product roadmap and vision.
  • Engage in conferences and meetups, contributing to building the tech team and culture.
  • Support the onboarding and development of other engineers, with the opportunity to grow as the team expands.

We are problem solvers first and are not fixed with any specific technologies. We aspire to build the most lovable and exciting products, regardless of what technology powers it.

  • Frontend: Next.js, React, Tailwind, Flowbite, Typescript
  • Backend: NodeJS, Typescript, Prisma, PostgreSQL
  • Infrastructure: GitHub, Vercel, Supabase, AWS

Requirements

Who are you: 

We are looking for highly curious, intrinsically motivated problem solvers who are passionate about fintech and eager to make a significant impact. 

  • You are a software engineer with 5+ years of experience, preferably some in financial services/banking. 
  • You have a track record of delivering high quality software with previous experiences.
  • You have a solid foundation in back-end and database development, as well as a service based architecture.
  • You are a builder at heart and leader by nature. You work to build trust with stakeholders, and enjoy building in ambiguity that comes with startups.
  • You are adaptable and versatile, can pick up things and deliver results. You have a founder mentality and are often first to roll up your sleeves to solve problems.
  • You are curious and hungry to learn. You enjoy working with different parts of the business, bonus points if you want to speak to customers and partners.
  • You are a champion of Agile and Scrum methodology, obsessed with iterating the product by shipping regularly
