The successful candidate will join the Customer Infrastructure Team for a successful and growing, London-based IT company. The work responsibilities will be varied and challenging, Successful candidate will be working with a variety of people, IT systems, and customers from different locations across the UK. 

The successful applicant will work independently, with guidance and support, on clients IT infrastructure to help maintain a high quality of service and facilitate the continued growth of the company. The successful candidate's responsibilities focus on ensuring IT systems work efficiently, dealing with work escalations effectively, and proactively proposing and implementing IT infrastructure improvements.

Work Experience Requirements 

  • Experience working in technology as a technical consultant or advanced technical support engineer 
  • Experience working independently on technical migrations and installations  
  • Able to follow defined processes such as Change Management & Knowledge Management  
  • Knowledge of industry-standard best practise for projects and implementations  
  • Welcoming, personable, articulate, literate, conscientious. Able to converse with all levels of colleagues, confidently and honestly, being able to ask for help and discuss ideas and techniques. 
  • Knowledge of ITIL & Microsoft best practice  
  • Good presentation skills, able to present information effectively and simply using the right tool (Excel/Word/PowerPoint). 
  • Certifications in industry standards such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, Azure, ITIL Foundation and Datto 

Technical Experience Requirements: 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of virtualisation including clustered configurations, as well as supporting physical server and SAN storage platforms.VMWare vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V with SCVMM in clustered environments 
  • Enterprise Email Security including basic mail flow, impersonation protection, authentication, to best practice  
  • Microsoft Defender for 365/Endpoint configuration and administration  
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Windows Server OS’s and Microsoft Azure platform  
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of Entra AD including Conditional Access, MFA, Enterprise Apps, Microsoft Entra Connect  
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot deployment  
  • Comprehensive knowledge of network architecture, firewall and switch configuration, routing, IP technologies.
  • Experience with Backup and Disaster Recovery – Azure, Datto, Veeam and other leading technologies
