Supplier Engagement Delivery Analyst
£28,800 - £36,000 plus benefits (Grade E15)
Manchester city centre. We’re currently working remotely due to Covid. The future will see us working in a hybrid way, with a mixture of home and office working.

We’re looking for a supplier engagement delivery analyst to support the supplier engagement manager in all dealings with our trading and finance, supply chain, logistics and delicious food teams. Our supplier engagement and change integration team have a big job on their hands, transforming our processes to make sure we’re getting the most out of our supplier relationships and vice versa, and if you can bring us the experience and drive that we’re after, we can offer you the chance to build your profile with a business that always puts people at the heart of its strategy.

As a supplier engagement delivery analyst, you’ll think of exciting new ways that we can improve our processes across the business to help with compliance when dealing with suppliers and contractors. You’ll manage the creation and delivery of an annual tenders and e-sourcing plan, to maximise the opportunity to the business. This is a great opportunity for you to make your mark and help us to shape the way we function as a commercial team.

What you’ll do

• optimise supplier relationships and contract within our food business, making sure that they are compatible with our overall business strategies and values
• support the development and delivery of projects within the supplier engagement programme
• develop and deliver the supplier facing communications plan, including ownership of the supplier engagement ‘brand’
• have full ownership of all scheduled supplier communication through all channels, ensuring that content supports engagement plan and BAU needs by continually assessing channel effectiveness
• collaborate with external communications teams and marketing on supplier communication strategy
• review all content to be published on the supplier portal and supplier knowledge hub, making sure all information is consistent in format, tone of voice and brand
• be the voice of our supplier base in internal meetings
• feedback the voice of the commercial team into the programme, identifying areas to focus on that will deliver the most benefit
• assist in the preparation of documents and presentations for different business leaders and the board
• coordinate all tender activity including planning and scheduling events, collaborating closely with trading colleagues to build plans, preparing for events, and providing updates, outputs and results to all partners, both verbally and in written reports
• use a continuous improvement approach to find opportunities to improve the way we operate, and continually ask for feedback to identify ways to improve relationships both internally and externally

This role would suit people who have

• experience in managing and maintaining relationships with suppliers (if you have established relationships within the buying community this would be advantageous)
• drive, determination and tenacity, with the aptitude to actively spot new opportunities
• confidence in working with lots of different people at all levels across the Co-op and beyond
• an understanding of the food commercial business would be desirable, with the ability to focus on the bigger picture
• the ability to work towards a time specified planning horizon, with a strong focus on the future
• some experience of working and commercially engaging with third party suppliers, preferably within retail
