Rosewell House is a beautiful, clean, well equipped and modern Extra Care Scheme in Tonbridge with vacancies for location specific Home Care Workers, who's principal responsibilities include providing care and support to individuals in their own homes in keeping with their individually tailored care plans.
Being location specific, all our Home Care Worker's fulfil their client's care needs within the scheme, all under one roof, negating travel costs and alleviating the pressures of time felt within the wider community as staff rush from one post code to another.
The ideal Home Care Worker will demonstrate
- A caring and compassionate approach
- Patience and understanding of older people
- Evidence of competence to undertake the post
- Basic care competencies in the voluntary, public or private sectors
- Strong commitment to the provision of non-discriminatory care and to providing excellence
- Willingness to undertake training
- Efficient and effective administrative skills
- Strong customer focus
- Honesty, trustworthiness, reliability and respectfulness.
- An understanding of Health & Safety
- Good communication and negotiation skills with different groups, e.g. staff, residents, local community
- Understanding of different values / cultures of residents and staff
- Team working skills
- Good timekeeping skills
- Professionalism
The ideal Home Care Worker will have the ability to:
- Play an active role in creating a good environment
- Prioritise their work
- Be aware of the support needed by others, consider how they can support them and encourage and support them
- Recognise and work to meet where possible the diverse and unique needs of each tenant
- Manage conflict
- Train for and take on additional responsibilities

- Apply their knowledge and training in the workplace
