Ward Hostess or Host

We've got a fantastic opportunity for a Ward Hostess or Host to join our friendly team at One Ashford Hospital, in the heart of Kent.

Reporting to the Catering Lead, the successful Ward Hostess will be responsible for ensuring excellent catering services are delivered to patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner.

You will be responsible for the service, presentation and delivery of the patients meals on the Wards in accordance with our high standards of hygiene and patient care.

The role will occasionally involve service in our Coffee Shop, undertaking cashier duties, as well as assisting with cleaning and food preparation in our kitchen, as required.

Hours: 36 hours per week, flexible across 7 days per week. You will be required to work 3 twelve hour shifts, typically starting at 7am and finishing at 7:30pm.

Salary: £16,680 per annum (FTE £17,375)

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Food Safety Level 2 certificate

Skills

  • Patient and customer focused
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people at all levels

Desirables

  • Previous food service experience
  • Experience of working in a private healthcare environment
  • Catering experience at front of house

One Ashford Hospital is one of Kent's newest private hospitals. Patients receive fast access to appointments with specialist Consultants, diagnostic imaging and treatment for a range of health concerns. Our private hospital has been designed with the latest technology and with patient care at its heart.

One Ashford is next door to the William Harvey Hospital and is close to junction 10 of the M20. Parking is available and is ideally located for candidates living in and around the Ashford area.

Covid-19
